A catch-all email mailbox is one that captures all the messages sent to invalid addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Just one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other side has an outdated address or has made a mistake. The drawback of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of unsolicited bulk messages, but this issue can be solved by using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also important to know that a mailbox with an active catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound messages to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

If you have a Linux cloud web hosting with us and you would like to enable the catch-all feature for a given e-mailbox that you have in your account, it will take literally just one single click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to accomplish that. A catch-all button is available next to each email address that you have created under any domain hosted in the account. You can choose one single address per domain by clicking on the corresponding button. This will enable the feature momentarily, so all emails sent to misspelled addresses will be received there. Clicking on the button again will deactivate the catch-all feature. In case you have active email forwarding, our system will exhibit a cautionary note and you won’t be able to enable the catch-all feature unless you disable the forwarding or you can simply select some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be activated with ease in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you will notice a small-size sign conveniently located directly next to each one. With only a single click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with the option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable the feature using the menu that will come into sight. In case any of the preconditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will warn you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
