Each and every PC or web server is run by an Operating System - the low-level software which interacts with the hardware equipment, including peripherals such as a mouse and a printer, as well as any apps that are currently installed on the system. Any program input through a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI) is processed by sending an Application Program Interface (API) request to the OS. On a web server, each and every application runs within the parameters defined by the OS as well - priority, physical memory, processing time, etc. This goes for both standard website scripts and server-side software such as a media server. In case a virtual server is created on a physical one, there can be two independent Operating Systems, called guest OS and host OS, so that you will be able to set up a different software environment on a single machine.

Multiple OS in VPS

Our virtual private server solutions include three Linux distributions that you could select from for the Operating System of your new hosting server - Debian, Ubuntu and CentOS. In addition to being cost-free, the OSs are very stable and protected and the primary reason to offer all 3 of them is to ensure that you'll be able to run each application that you would like, because different pieces of software may have different requirements in terms of the environment they work on. Each of the three OSs is supported by a vast community of developers who have developed a large number of software packages that you can install and use on your VPS. Depending on the Operating System that you select, you will also be able to select between three different Control Panels to take care of your website hosting content. Also, should you decide that you need another OS, we can always reinstall the server with it. As an additional upgrade, we also provide weekly updates of the OS for max stability and security.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Hosting

The dedicated servers we offer can be set up with as many as three different Operating Systems since we want to give you more versatile solutions that will permit you to install and run any kind of web software regardless of its system requirements. The options are CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu and these 3 OSs are among the most reliable and safe ones, not mentioning that they do not have any license fees. All three have a large number of developers who have created numerous software packages that you may install and use on your hosting server. We also offer three hosting Control Panels and which one you can use is determined by the Operating System that you select when you sign up. If you need a new OS later on, it will not be a problem because we can always reinstall your server. With our Managed Services package we can also keep your OS secure by updating it on a weekly basis with all patches which are available for it.
